Mrouzia Recipe
🥘 Supplies Needed
- 1 Mrouzia Bomb
- 4 lb of meat: preferably beef shank or chuck steak (precut)
- 1 cup of olive oil
- 1 onion
- 350 ml of water
- Stove or pressure cooker
Instructions:

Heat the pot
Place your tagine or pot over medium heat. Add olive oil, and thinly cut onion. -
Add meat
Place the precut beef shank or chuck steak into the pot. -
Add spice bomb & water
Drop in 1 Mrouzia Bomb. Pour in 350 ml (about 1 ½ cups) of water. Stir gently until the spice bomb dissolves. -
Simmer the meat
Cover and cook on low heat for 2.5–3 hours, until the meat is tender and coated in the rich, sweet-spiced sauce. Stir occasionally and add a splash of water if needed. -
Serve
Serve hot with fresh bread. For a festive touch, garnish with sesame seeds or blanched almonds.
