Morrocan Tangia Recipe

🥘 Supplies Needed

  • 1 Tangia Bomb
  • 4lb Pound of meat: preferably beef shank or chuck steak
  • 1 Cup of Olive Oil
  • 350 ml of water
  • Stove or Pressure Cooker

Instructions:

1. Heat the pot

  • Place your tagine or pot over medium heat. Add olive oil.

2. Add meat

  • Place the precut beef shank or chuck steak into the pot.

3. Add spice bomb & water

  • Drop in 1 spice bomb. Pour in 1 ½ cups water. Stir gently until the spice bomb dissolves into the liquid.

4. Simmer the meat

  • Cover and cook on low heat for 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours, until meat is tender. Stir occasionally and add a splash of water if needed.

5. Serve

  • Serve hot with fresh bread for an authentic Moroccan experience. Optionally, top with sesame seeds or blanched almonds for a festive touch.
